A drawing within a drawing

A life sketch of my husband working on his own illustration.

Poses

This is a pose sheet for a little animation I'm doing, starring a character that my husband came up with.
His name is skull fairy and I'm pretty sure he likes to dance.

Fight!

This is a work-in-progress character I drew up to be used in a fight scene that I'll animate...someday.

Birthday Fairy Wishes

This is a watercolor illustration I did on my niece's birthday card.
I like how it turned out so I scanned it before sending it into the hands of a 2 year old.

Fluffy!

This Easter I decided to experiment with my new (actually very old) sewing machine. The sewing machine was my mom's, then my older sister's, and now I got to get my hands on it.

I knew I wanted to make a little lamb decoration, cause lets face it, there are just too many bunnies out there taking the lamb's spot light when it comes to Easter.

I started with some yarn and laid it down on some felt and sewed across it to make my very own fluffy lamb. I added the hanging wire and beads for an extra touch.

Somebody Loves You - Sewing project

Somebody Loves You

For Valentine's Day I wanted to come up with something more interesting than you basic hearts or flowers.  I liked the whimsical idea of a mailbox shaped valentine being sent through the mail to an actual mailbox.

I started making tiny mail, which was super cute just on it's own.

As I was making the mailbox I thought it would be fun to make it a magnet to hold real mail.
The magnets I found weren't as strong as I would have liked, but it did hold the mailbox to the refrigerator.

In total I made eight little felt mailboxes in about three days, spending about $10 on craft supplies.

Next time I'll be on the look out for a even stronger magnet. And maybe price them at around $5 or $8 dollars each.
